Roll Bar Install
These are pictures of the install of a Smittybilt BR680 "Interior Tube
Bar" into my 1985 Bronco. This product is similar to the factory roll
bar's found in some
early 1980's Bronco's. The install is straight forward; place the main
hoop in position, mark and drill the holes. Once the main hoop is
bolted into place,
mark the position of the rear feet, and cut off the excess that
goes into the main hoop; I had to cut 6" off. Bolt these into place and
you are done. On
my bar, the rear base plates didn't follow the curve of the rear wheel
wells, so some "massaging" was required. I have heard of other's
installing
the same product having fit issue's, so there may be some
inconsistencies in the manufacturing of this product.
* As of late 2004/ early 2005
this product is no longer available from Smittybilt.
