July 15/2006 @ Harrison West

  In Attendance:

Chris - Ford Bronco (blue)
Doug - Ford Ranger (black)
Chad and Wendy - Jeep Cherokee (bronze)

Just a quick summary......

We started out with the Francis/Weaver traverse, then down to Hale Creek via the North trail and came up via the South trail, then went up to Sunrise Lake.
Once back on the Harrison FSR, we went up to the Mystery Creek FSR and took it over the Chehalis FSR, turned off on the Statlu FSR, then up
over Margret Creek Pass and down the Norrish Creek FSR.

I reset my odomoeter in Mission when I fueled up; from there to the end of our trip (Norrish Creek) was about 170km.

I left the house at 9:30am and didn't get home until just after 11:00pm!

Got stuck behind the Red Bull car on the way out.

Looked like some Nasa project gone wrong!

The start of the Weaver/Francis traverse.

This was the Rangers first real wheeling trip

Chad got himself in a pickle here.....

He was on three wheels and couldn't go forward or backwards.Doug
stabilized the situation while I backed down and gave him the strap.

The Ranger did pretty good, but he also got the strap.

Further up the trail.

Even further up the trail.

Back on the Harrison FSR, heading to Hale Creek.

Coming out of Hale. I felt the right front tire come
off the ground; of course that means "camera time".

Chad crossing up in the same spot.

Doug picks a more "Ranger friendly" line.

Just before the V-rock heading up to Sunrise Lake.

We got to the summit just after 7:00pm; made for a beautiful sunset.
The next few pics didn't turn out the best, but you get the idea.
