Chris & Ed - Ford Bronco (blue)
Yasu - Jeep TJ (red)
Ian - Jeep CJ (blue)
Pete - Jeep Cherokee (white)
Jeff, Jeff & ? - Jeep TJ (blue)

After a short drive we hit some deep snow.

Ian went ahead to check out the snow.

Jeff was having a tough time with the 31's. He got stuck
here, so I had to back up and give him a tug.

After turning around, he got stuck again.

Pete was called to back up and give him a tug.

Not that deep, but deep enough for a 31" tire.

Ian and Yasu waiting patiently.

At this point we started heading back to the main road to figure out where to go next. After a few minutes of driving, I heard a strange
noise coming from the front end, so I radio'd for the gang to stop so I could take a quick look. Turns out my right front axle joint lossed
a cap, so the shafts were floating and banging around. No biggie, I unlock that hub and we continue on our way. After another few minutes,
I hear another noise, so I quickly stop, unlock the left hub, and continue on; the noise was gone. I radio'd to the gang that we should head
down to Davis Lake for a lunch break and that would give me a dry area to check out the u-joints and see if I could fix them quickly.

Time to run back and try and get some action shots.

Pete coming out of the bypass.

Jeff coming out of the bypass.

Yasu coming through the bypass.

Yasu coming through the bypass.

Ian going through one of the many deep cross ditch's.

Davis Lake.

Davis Lake.

Davis Lake.

Right axle joint.

Right axle joint.

I couldn't see any visible signs on the left axle joint, but I also couldn't spin it freely, so it was binding
on something. I didn't feel like digging deeper, so I just left it all as it was and had lunch.

I made it out with no problems, except for the bypass; it is so mucky and slick, so I had to lock the left front hub to get myself out.

After we got back to the main road, we found Yasu trying a different way out.

He couldn't make the last one, so he tried this one.

One last try.

Home safe.

I hate mud!
