There was a group heading up to Hale Creek for a "birthday overnighter", so I gathered the gang up to go up there for a day run. We met at
the Sasquatch Inn, bs'd for a bit, then decided that my gang would take off and meet up with the others later in the day. We took off and
stopped at the hatchery to air down. Just as we were leaving, the others rolled in. After a little more bs'ing, Sonny decided to join us and
we made out way to Secret Lake, while to others were going to tackle the Weaver/Francis Traverse.

We got to Secret Lake without any issues, bs'd for a bit, then made our way back down. Sonny got a little air-time near the bottom, so
Mike and Indir tried to do the same, but Sonny had them beat hands down.

Once back at the main road, we made our way to Hale Creek, taking a few of the power line side trails along the way.

We took the "easy" way down to Hale, where we had lunch on the beach under a makeshift awning to keep the rain off. I think we were
there for well over an hour before we heard the other group chattering on the CB as they came down the trail.

It was now close to 3pm and the daylight was going to be gone soon, so we said our good bye's to the campers, and made our way
up to the main road. Winston (green Jimmy) and two Jeep's tagged along with us. Mike wanted to check out some trail, but after some
confusion, the lead was passed over to me to get us to Look-Out Lake. I have only been to Look-Out once, and it was a year ago, and
I was following a large group. Just my luck that the area has been recently logged and looked nothing like what it used to. I took a wrong
turn and we ended up at a dead end after about 1 km. A few of us turned around only to have to wait for a few others that were out looking
at Sonny's Landcruiser. Turns out that while the rest of us went around a fallen tree, Sonny thought it was just brush and the tree scored a
direct hit on his windshield and roof. After checking out the damage, they turned around and we drove back to the "Y" in the road. We
stopped there so Sonny could tape up the area to keep the water out, and then most of lost our steam, so we opted to head for home.

We made our way back to the hatchery to air up, then made our way to Tim Horton's in Mission for a nice hot cup of coffee.

I had a great day wheeling, as I hadn't been out in three months. Got to meet some new faces and chat with some old ones.

Heading up to Look-Out Lake, we all went around the fallen tree, except Sonny.

After turning around, Sonny taped up his new vent hole
and we made our way back to the hatchery to air up.
