Radar Detector
Picked up this Escort 8500 X50 Blue off of Craigslist.
Mounting accessories: BlendMount and MirrorTap.
BlendMount #BBE-2000.
MirrorTap #MT-1009.
Problem; the collar is to small. I sent an e-mail to BlendMount, and Frank replied
quickly, stating that he would mail me the correct collar right away. I got the correct
collar two days later. Thanks to BlendMount for fixing things up for me!
The new larger collar compared to the smaller collar.
All installed.
The MirrorTap is plugged into the yellow and black wire of the mirror connector.
April 7/2013:
Picked up a Escort 8500 X50 red off of Craigslist; the blue didn't match the red lighting of the car.
March 5/2016
Old camera mount epoxied to the bottom of the detector.
I used a dremel and ground the mount down. When I got down to the epoxy, it peeled right off.
