HID Headlights

I was running Piaa Xtreme White low and hi beams, and Piaa 2100 series Xtreme White SMR driving lights. All are powered
by 30 amp relays and 12ga wire. As much as this set up provided much more light than the stock lights, I was just never
happy with  the quality of the light. After a few months of research, I decided to try a set of 6000K HID low beam bulbs.

D-woo 9006 (low-beam) HID lamp system.

I opted for the 6000K.

I couldn't wait to see how they performed, so I plugged the drivers side bulb in.
Here are a few comparison pictures.

Camera on a 12" tripod, no flash, about 20' away.

Holding the camera 6' in the air, no flash, about 40' away.

Now for the install. Because I already had relays, the install was plug and play.

Drivers side.

This was the best spot I could find to mount the ballast.

It is only visible when you are down on the ground and it keep cool.

Again, it is only visible if you are on the ground.
