Tires - 2nd Set

My Nexxen's were getting very low on tread and I was getting tired of hydro-plaining around town, so it was time to get some
new "shoes" for the Birdy. I can't complain about the Nexxen's; 3 1/2 and 90,000 KM of use. Not bad considering what I paid
for them. The only problem I ever had was about 2 years ago after an alignment, the car pulled to the right. We did some rotating
of the tires and it was determined that one of the them had something wrong with it, causing the pull. With about 50% tread left on
them at the time, I decided to just put up with the pull until the tires were worn out.

After doing some research, I found a good deal from Kal Tire on the ZIEX ZE512 in a 235/60/16:

I procrastenated for several months, hoping that I could find a better deal, but it just didn't happen, and once the wet weather arrived,
I had no choice but to get something on the car fairly quickly. I made arrangements with Kal Tire in Langley, and they had me out
the door in just over 30 minutes. That's good service!

It was pouring rain when I had them installed, so on my drive home I was looking for puddles to see how they would perform. I have to
say that I am impressed with them. I can still break the rear loose in corners in the wet, but that is to be expected. Of all the puddles I
did hit, these tires kept me going straight, and once on the freeway, the ride was smooth; the one bad Nexxen shook pretty good at times.

Anyways, at this point, I am happy with the choice I made. I guess the smoke shows will have to be saved for special occasions now.
