$.39 x 4

When I was planning this project, I was only going to do one strut, but after some reading feedback from others on SCCoA
and TCCoA that have already done this, becasue I have a Xenon spoiler installed, I opted to install two struts.

All the parts to do one side.

And the machine screws.

I drilled the hole in the ball mount bracket to 7/64" to snuggly clear the torsion rod. Installs over on SCCoA
and TCCoA say to drill the hole out to 1/4" to clear the torsion rod, but for whatever reason, mine was
different. Also, because I used 1/4-20 UNC machine screws, I had to drill both holes to 7/64".

I couldn't find any M8 coupling nuts, so I modified one that was 5/16-18 UNC (to match the thread on the
ball stud). I drilled half of the nut to 7/64", and tapped that half it to M8x1.25, to match the stud in the car.

Thread the ball mount into the coupling nut.

Instead of just drilling right through the trunk arms, I drilled a
13/64" hole on the inner side and tapped it to 1/4-20 UNC.

Test fit of the ball mount bracket on the left side.

I decided to paint all the hardware.

Right side ball mount bracket installed.

Right side coupling nut and ball mount installed.

Right side complete.

Left side complete.

The final test.
