The plan was to spend an hour or so on the rad support and get it installed,
then move on to the body mounts. I should have known better!
I had to cut and grind the old support brackets, clean them and paint them.
I also had to enlarge one of the body mount holes as the tollerances
were garbage; the hole was way smaller than it should be. Once all that
was done, I put the rad support on the truck, only to find that my
upper mounting holes for the radiator were off. WTF?!? Turns out that the
pre-existing holes that I measured off of were off. I had to remove the
rad support and re-do my upper mounting holes. Upon re-installing and getting
things hand tight, I closed the hood and found that the threaded nuts welded in place for the hood release are off. Every freaking hole in this radiator support is off! ARGHHHHHH!!!!!
One of the body mount holes. Nice tollerances!
The old radiator mounts separated and ready for paint.
The new radiator support ready for install.
The old radiator mounts bolted to the new radiator support.
The new radiator support installed (hand tight) on the Bronco.
