Demon Eyes

August 23/2014

New projector headlights.

I had red LED's (Demon Eyes) installed for fun.

February 20/2016

I finally got back on this. I installed a new headlight wiring harness, so I ran the wires for the Demon Eyes at the same time.

Left headlight wiring.

Right headlight wiring.

I ran the wire to the engine bay for now and will come back to it.

Test with AAA batteries.

The dome light dims to off when it turns off, and I wasn't sure how it worked. Turns out that the positive (blue wire) is a constant 12v, and the ground (grey wire) goes to negative. I beleive this is done via the BCM.

Dome light on.

Dome light off.

Here is a schematic of how I will wire the Demon Eyes. This will allow me to turn them on manually, or have them
turn on with the dome light. I will also put a 5mm red LED somewhere so I know when the Demon Eyes are on.

Nobody had the SPDT Cole Hersee swich that I wanted, so I had to settle with a DPDT switch.

Cole Hersee #58027-07, DPDT, on/off/onrocker switch. The SPDT version is #58027-03.

I got this "Seat Heater" switch a while back (I don't have heated seats) and it is where the new switch will go.

The new switch goes right in place of the stock switch.

Couple of pics.

Test fit back in the car. I was surprised to see that there is almost 5" of clearance underneath the console.

March 19/2016

Ran the wires for the demon eyes; went through the firewall at a grommet to the left of the steering column, got chassis ground from a stud/nut on the steering column, and used a home made 194 bulb adapter
to get power and ground from the dome light circuit.
