Neck Cyst

(Chronic Inflammatory Demyelinating Polyneuropathy)

March 24/2025

The cyst is back.

This is a sebaceous cyst, and this is the third time over the
past twenty or so years that it has done this. If ignored,
it will rupture and leak, and possibly get infected. Being that
me and infection do not get along, I immediately made an
appointment with my GP to get this thing delt with.

March 27/2025

I went to my doctor today about the cyst. He got me on oral
antibiotics and told me to get to the ER right away.

Four and a half hours (in the ER) later. They froze it, cut it open,
squeazed everything out and put two stitches in. The squeazing
went on forever, so I am a little tender back there. The stitches
are self disolving and I can change the bandage in two days.

March 28/2025

The bandage is starting to lift and there are signs of some drainage.

March 29/2025

Not bad for drainage.

Cleaned up and looking good.

I let things breath for an hour before putting this bandage
on; there was no drainage in that time.

April 6/2025

The bandage survived the night.

Just a spec of drainage.

Going to leave the bandage off for a while.

Langley Hospital. Saw the doctor. She sent me across the
street to the TLC building to see another doctor. He looked at
it and will drain it a third time, and do something inside. That
will be in a few days.

Langley Hospital; IV Therapy, bandage change & bloodwork.

After my treatment, the nurse noticed my arm was red and a bit
swollen. We decided to remove the IV to give my arm a rest.

May 7/2025

Langley Hospital; see doctor. 4 hours of waiting, no drainage, wound
looks clean. Stop IV antibiotics, discharge from hospital, start a
course of oral antibiotics, and go to Home Health Care for wound
treatment.

The bandage was coming off before I got out of the hospital. After
lunch, I noticed something on the floor; the bandage was flapping
in the breeze and iodasorb patch that was under the bandage fell
to the ground. Had to put my own bandage on.

No more hospital.
